Alesia Chaika

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

 

Alesia Chaika is a luxury fashion designer at Fashion House of Alesia C and founder of the private Art & Style Academy of Alesia Chaika. She specializes in Art-A-Porte, couture bridal and evening wear, high-end outerwear, resort wear, sleepwear, formal wear, custom designed corporate apparel, high-end fashion accessories, and timeless souvenirs.

 

Alesia comes from a lineage of fine tailors, architects, interior designers, artists, and creative masters spanning four generations. Her passion for visual art, pattern-making, and graphic design was nurtured from an early age. Alesia would observe her father and mother, both talented artists and interior designers, creating oil paintings on canvas, still life drawings, sculpture, ceramics, applied art, mosaics, collages, custom carved solid wood furniture and frames, building custom billboards and signs for outdoor advertising and brands for different organizations, and various other creative projects.

 

In addition, Alesia observed her grandmother, a seamstress, as she meticulously and lovingly created custom dresses for each of her five daughters for holidays and special occasions. Alesia’s mother continued the tradition for her own children, and Alesia fell in love with textile and fabrics, often using leftover fabric to create stylish outfits for her dolls. With each embellishment — lace, crystals, freshwater pearls — that adorned her pieces, she developed an appreciation for accentuating individuality with style. Alesia designed her very first couture wedding gown in 1992, celebrating 30 years of couture art in 2022.

 

In 2012, Alesia bridged her 25+ years of professional experience in branding, retail, and the couture fashion industry to launch her own namesake fashion house and expand her craft. Here, she hand-selects fabrics from around the globe to ensure the highest quality and directly oversees the custom design of couture wedding and evening gowns, custom theater costumes, luxury outerwear, pure silk resort wear, and fine silk sleepwear featuring her collections at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago, Palmer House Hilton, Chicago, and Willis Tower, Metropolitan Club. She also provides fine tailoring, personal bridal and special occasion fittings, and spearheads style consultations and creative design project customization at her fashion house located at 207 E. Westminster, Suite 103, Lake Forest, IL 60045 USA.

 

Drawing inspiration from the gorgeous city of Chicago, she created a collection inspired by her original pencil illustrations of the Chicago skyline. Among this collection are Art-A-Porte dresses, high-end fashion accessories, pure silk scarves, ties and pocket squares, and a luxury gifting line that includes jewelry and novelty keepsakes.

 

In 2013, Alesia created her first luxury collection of high-end scarves and resort wear, inspired by her original hand-painted artworks, exclusive digital patterns, crafted of pure mulberry silk, defining classic feminine style with timeless quality.

 

Her recent portfolio includes partnerships with the NHL and Fortune 500 companies.

 

Alesia brings more than 25 years of professional experience teaching fine art to both children and adults. She teaches her series of Art-A-Porte classes, as well as drawing fundamentals, painting, still life, mandala dot art, applied arts and crafts, mosaics, couture embroidery, personal branding, fashion sketching, brand design and brand philosophy. She also offers branding, marketing, and product development consulting.

 

She holds a master’s degree in speech pathology from Pedagogical College of Aleksander Pushkin and a diploma from the School of Art and Music of Pinsk, Belarus, where she spent nine years playing and teaching piano and cimbalom, a Belarusian folk instrument.
